A Safe Bridge to Stable Housing for Women and Children

Prentiss Place is more than a temporary home-it's a compassionate community where women and children rebuild stability, heal from trauma, and take steps toward independence. Through safe housing, nurturing support, and holistic programming, families regain confidence and transition toward permanent housing and self-sufficiency.

Mission: To empower homeless women and their children through transitional living-providing a safe haven, comprehensive support, and individualized case management to achieve self-sufficiency and stable, independent living.

Vision: We envision a community where no woman or child faces housing insecurity, and every family is equipped with the tools, education, and resources to create a prosperous, self-reliant future.

Purpose: Prentiss Place provides trauma-informed transitional housing for women and children experiencing homelessness. We break cycles of instability by offering safe living arrangements, counseling, financial literacy, early childhood education, mentoring, and job-readiness training—all under one supportive roof.
